There are concentrated more than 6100 units of a storage in the department. The fund is represented by the literature on the theory and history of art; by the biographic literature on life and creativity of the figures of culture and art; by the literature devoted to national creativity and cultural tourism, etc. Annually department subscribes for more than 30 names of the newspapers and magazines.
Is organized and is constantly replenished the reference-bibliographic device:

Card file of the scripts of mass measures;

Database "Establishments of culture and leisure of Sevastopol", etc.
The Mediasection of the department totals more than 2000 issues of a storage.

The department of arts is equipped with the equipment for viewing and listening: the tape recorder, videorecorder, stereoplayer, overhead viewer, piano and etc.
The department serves the kindergarden children, the students of schools and Liceums, students of art-branches of the universities, experts-practitions, teachers of a subject of world art culture, etc.

The department renders the methodical help to libraries that servs children, on questions of popularization of the literature on art:

carries out individual and group advices;

develops the scripts for literary - musical compositions, retro - evenings, argues, conferences, premieres of the books, etc.;
carries out mass measures in children's libraries of city, at the centres of rehabilitation, at schools and grammar schools.
